Job Title: Feedstock Analyst
Reports to: Senior Manager
Location : Shanghai, P.R.China
Summary:
- To conduct the analysis of petrochemical product(mainly PX and PTA)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provide proprietary trading analytics to
Asia Aromatics supply and trading team on fundamentals, market pricing &
potential strategies and ensure that the output becomes a key source of
competitive advantage vs. the competition.
· Responsible for the modelling of the
sources of value/risks in supply and trading activities.
· Perform swift and timely analysis of short
term proprietary & tactical linking the macro with the micro, resulting in
a view to be discussed with business.
· Identify mid to long term opportunities
and risk for business, provide input to sustain and improve competitive
advantages.
· Track and identify market relationships
& pricing anomalies. Proactively raise to wider team and make analysis when
such opportunity arises.
· Analyze ideas and produce research
supporting Team & foster discussion with and across stakeholders. Develop close network and trusting relationship with other members in the
supply and trading team.Provide market views of PX, crude oil and feedstock, supplier profitability,
downstream dynamics and the implication on aromatics business to support both
short term commercial decisions and long term strategy
Required Education & Experience:
· Education: BA degree in highly quantitative discipline
· Experience:
Ø Minimum 5 years of related experience in
trading house or equivalent environment.
Ø Practical knowledge of commercial refining
or petrochemicals will be an advantage.
Ø Analytically minded and creative thinking
abilities, well supported by the ability to conduct own analysis.
Ø Experience of leading major cross business
projects and understanding of project management process and practices.
Ø Ability to work with external and internal
parties effectively to collect information and exchange perspective. Strong communication & interpersonal skills and comfortable working in a
team environment under pressure to deliver performance.
Ø High proficiency in both English and
Chinese.
